- Keep the shelves within their reach: Make the shelves, baskets reachable for your kids. Based on the height of your kids, ensure they can reach the shelves easily to take and put back their belongings
- Buy boxes and label them: When a room is littered with lots of things, putting them into boxes is very easy. You can also label the boxes as toys, books, other stuff etc to keep their belongings more organized
- Be specific: When you ask your kids to clean their rooms, be specific in asking them what to clean. For example, you can ask your kids to clean the bed first, then the floor etc. This would make them less confused
- Be consistent: When your kids clean their rooms daily, it becomes a habit. Encourage your kids to keep their rooms clean and tidy every day
