Constipation among kids is a common problem. When the kids are constipated, they do not have bowel movement for several days. The stools would also be hard, dry and difficult to pass. While this may be worrying for parents, kids can overcome this problem easily.

Tips to Prevent Constipation in Kids:
Here are the following ways in which parents can prevent constipation in kids:

Raw vegetables (such as cabbage, carrot), fruits, whole-grain foods in daily diet help to prevent constipation. Encourage your children to have meals at regular intervals and drink plenty of fluids. If the pain (due to constipation) is extreme or if it persists for more than 2 hours, then it is better to call your physician.
