How To Make Your Child Study Without Anyone Telling Them

Many parents complain that their children are very intelligent but hate studying. They find it hard to concentrate even for some time and spend more time in front of the T.V. rather than their books.

This is a common concern in many homes, parents are very worried about their children and really want their children to study well.

Keeping in mind this problem some techniques are mentioned that will effectively help parents make their children study with concentration.

1) Create A Study Habit: Experts state that it takes 15-21 days for a habit to set. Continuously doing the same thing for 15-21 days, gears an individual to do it automatically without anybody telling him or her. Parents could set a time for children to study either in the morning or evening and make them to do it continuously for 15-21 days. One will notice that after this time frame children automatically know that it’s study time and without any one telling them they sit with their books.

2) Reward The Child: Rewarding the child on good performance also works. Every time a child does something well, appreciating and praising the child would cause them to repeat the good behavior. Be alert and keep an eye on their improvement. Also, make sure that you gift the child what he/she wants rather than gifting what you want. Take them to their favorite movie, cook their favorite dish, praise them in front of others or buy them the thing they wanted so badly.

3) Help The Child: You may notice that your child does not like a particular subject, find out why he/she does not like the subject. Is it because the Teacher is very fast, or the child is unable to understand or simply is unable to memorize. Find out the cause and act accordingly. Tech the child some memorizing techniques if they have memorizing problems. You could explain the lesson again if the child hasn’t understood it.

Getting down to their level and understanding and seeing things from their perspective will help you understand them in a better way.
