Some children are born gifted and it’s the parent’s responsibility to identify this gift and further nurture it. Identifying the child’s extraordinary talent of singing, dancing, memorizing etc can help the child develop their talent at an early age and be more better when he/she is grown up.
Here are some tips on how parents can identify a child’s talent and gift.
1) Unusual alertness in infancy.

If a child possesses majority of these characteristics then there are chances of the child being gifted. Identifying a gifted child at an early age permits early intervention. Parents who spend majority of their time with the child can easily identify a gifted child. Also, a child who receives maximum stimulation from situations around i.e. encouraging parents and teachers can develop his/her gifts at a faster pace.
Constant support and encouragement is very important. A gifted child may grow up as a depressed individual if grown in a family where parental control is very rigid and the child is constantly put down and criticized. Also, parental rejectance and ill treatment may cause the child to not even realize his/her gifts.
Therefore a gifted child tends to blossom when provided with encouragement and nurtured in a supportive family.
