With the prevalence of the internet, moms have been turning to quick internet searches for answers, information, and also a break from the kids.

Excessive use of the internet in day-to-day life generally is the determining factor in diagnosing a particular mom as internet addicted. Internet addiction is a very common problem, which also affect these moms on social, personal and mental levels.

Types Of Problems When Moms Are Addicted to the Internet:

If you feel that you use the internet too much, you may find the following problems:

  • You do not participate in other activities. You always want to go home and use the internet.
  • You spend a maximum of your time on the internet instead of spending it with your family.
  • You shirk household duties to be on the internet instead.
  • Your give more importance to online relationships.
  • People often complain you that you spend less time with them.
  • You do not concentrate on your child and your child’s homework.
  • The first thing in the morning you do is check your email.
  • You become upset and frustrated if your internet is not working.

Tips for Stopping Internet-Addicted Moms:-

  • Keep a check on the amount of time you are spending on the internet.
  • While working, see that you are not online unless your job requires it. In case you do not do your work online, then check what are activities you do online—such as chatting, checking email or using social networking sites? Keep a check on those activities.
  • Set up limits for yourself on a daily basis.
